Hi, glad you're interested in getting your new horse trained to "go and whoa" or your seasoned horse "finished". I really enjoy my work and have been training for over 25 years professionally and have had horses all of my life. It would be very appropriate to say, " Horse's Are My Life"!

My name is Deb Ferguson and have been in the St Clair County, Michigan horse area all of my life and have shown SCC 4-H and been to State Level 4-H. I have shown in the Blue Water Horse Show circuit, EMAA, Western Michigan Arabian Horse Association Fall Classic, SCCAA -- St Clair County Arabian Horse Association ( of which, I am an officer & board member) .

As well as being an avid horseman, showman and trailrider I am also a professional farrier. I care for all breeds of horses and do some corrective work as well.

In my spare time I teach a number of young people and old alike the pleasure and proper ways of the horse not just jumping on and giving a kick but how to communicate with the horse so that they can better learn why and how a horse does what it does.

As soon as I feel you are ready I begin to start you on your horse. So that you will know how to cue your horse and to aid you in recognizing problems and how to correct them before they become bad habits.

Your lessons are free while your horse is here in training but are limited to (2) two lessons a week. Of course, we welcome you to come and watch your horse while he is in training.

Your horse is required to have all of his shots and coggins and a certificate of good health from your vet.

I also appreciate your letting me know any infomration you may have regarding your horse, wether good or not so good,. as this can help me in setting the course of training for your horse.

I can provide you with many references to help you with your decsion to begin training of your horse.

I am also able to teach your horse all the various seats and can have him started for the showring wether you prefer English, Western, Dressage, Saddleseat, Eventing or whatever your choice is, I can provide you with the training he needs.

My training is probably a combination of Monty Roberts, John Lyons and probably a few otheres. The horses are not stessed out by my methods.

The first day that they are here at Serenity I let them just settle in to their new environment. It is important for a horse to feel comfortable in his new surroundings in order to perform to his full potential.

After settling in your horse will have a rather full schedule to deal with as this keeps him attentive and alert with new activities and sights constantly coming before him.

His menu includes lounging, round pen work, long lining, suppling exercises, stretching and of course, "WHOA" !

When we have learned a little about each other we move to the outdoors for some road and crosscountry work.

Thank you very much for considering Serentiy Acres Training Center as your choice of training facility. If we are unable to accomidate your breeding for any reason we will be most happy to assist you in finding the breeder best able to meet your requirements.
